New Keylogging Trojan Found

PC Tools, creator of award-winning spyware removal and real-time protection software, today issued a warning for PC users worldwide about an updated version of the dangerous "Keylog-sters" Trojan Keylogger application that is currently stealing sensitive online data in more than 50 countries.

The Keylog-sters Trojan captures screenshots of any Web pages with login fields such as usernames and passwords, and then records the stolen data into a text file, subsequently uploading it to a private FTP server into a folder named after the infected user's country. Desktop computer users receive no obvious indicators that a computer has been infected, leaving many unaware of the potential security breach.

PC Tools anti-spyware application Spyware Doctor will identify the Keylog-sters Trojan if it has infected a PC and allow the user to quarantine or remove the application. More information about the threat can be found in PC Tools online Malware Research Center at: http://www.pctools.com/mrc/
